Congo Grille Voucher Discount Review

My mother absolutely loves Filipino food. I’m so sure that she would choose bibingka over the best cake in the world! For the past three weeks, we’ve been endlessly eating sinigang, kare-kare, paksiw and other Filipino dishes. She never seems to get tired of it! I cannot say the same thing for myself though. Nevertheless, I thought it would be a good idea to invite her to Congo Grille since I had 3 vouchers worth Php1500 (which I got from Metrodeal).

I asked my brother to call Congo Grille a couple of hours before going there with our Metrodeal vouchers. They reserved a table for us even though there’s fine print on the voucher that we’re supposed to call 2 days in advance. When we arrived at the restaurant, nobody attended to us for a while. We had to call their attention before they seated us. We seriously thought that we would not enjoy our dining experience there! But things changed when we got the menu. We got excited because their menu was quite extensive and they have a lot of delectable new dishes.

We were so surprised to see that everything on the menu was affordable. We were supposed to use 3 Metrodeal vouchers but we decided to use 2 vouchers instead. My mom predictably chose Sinigang from the menu but we persuaded her to try other dishes. With our 2 Metrodeal vouchers worth Php 1000, we got Vegetable Kare-Kare, Shrimp Thermidor, Sizzling Clams with Tausi, Sizzling Spicy Salmon Belly, and Congo Rice

We loved everything that we ordered! Every single dish that we got were mouthwateringly good. We even enjoyed the Congo Rice which we thought was black squid ink rice. Well, we’re still not sure what kind of rice it is but we loved it! For that night, the hits were the Kare-Kare and the Salmon Belly. Although I was already satiated with Filipino food, I still enjoyed my dining experience.
Thanks Congo Grille and Metrodeal for letting my family enjoy good Filipino food!

Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe at SM Mall of Asia

Hong Kong is one of my favorite places in the world. Everytime there’s a chance, I make it a point to buy tickets bound for HK. There so much to love about Hong Kong - I love the weather especially during the winter season, I love just walking around, I love the people and most importantly I love their food. That’s the reason why I didn’t hesitate to get a couple of Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe vouchers from Metrodeal.com. I got two vouchers for Php500 and I saved Php500. Thanks Metrodeal!

Xin Wang Hong Kong Cafe is located at Mall of Asia. I already saw the restaurant before because it’s near IMAX but I never had a chance to eat there. I was so happy to finally try it.

I invited some of the closest people in my life to come with me to the restaurant for dinner. We were extremely hungry when we arrived at MOA. When we got the menu, we got so excited because there were so many wonderful choices. I have read that they have over 250 items on their menu! I took us about 10 minutes before we called the waiter for our orders.

I ordered HK Braised Beef Brisket Bamboo Rice because it looked so good on the menu. I’m so glad I ordered it because it was delicious! I wasn’t able to finish everything though because there’s too much rice. My friend got the Char Siew 'N' Wanton Chilli Dry Noodles. I tried it and of course it was very spicy but very yummy! My other companions got the congee and ramen.  I just forgot what specific items they ate but from the looks of their faces, I think they enjoyed their food with our MetroDeal vouchers.

Since we wanted to try their dimsum,  we asked for the Crystal Har Gao.  Har Gao is what we normally call Hakao. It was a bit dry but still tasted good. For dessert, we had the Special Mango Snow Ice which we consumed in a flash.

I’m 100% sure that I’m going back there again. The place definitely takes me back to Hong Kong. If ever you’re in Mall of Asia, don’t be reluctant to try Xin Wang Hong Kong CafĂ©. The place looks gorgeous, their food tastes amazing and the prices are affordable.

Thanks Metrodeal for letting me try this fabulous resto!

My Crown Regency Cebu Experience

My family and I just came home from our Bohol-Cebu vacation. We spent four days under the sun and we enjoyed every minute of it! The trip was my treat for my older brother’s birthday. It’s also sort of my welcome-home-gift for my mother who came to the Philippines from the US to celebrate my brother’s birthday with MetroDeal.

What made this trip sweeter was our stay at Crown Regency Hotel and Towers. I got two vouchers from MetroDeal for only Php4554. That’s really cheap considering that we got two rooms at a 4-star hotel. Reservation was quite easy - all I had to do was to e-mail the contact person and they arranged everything.

They gave us a room at the 23rd floor. It was clean, elegant and surprisingly spacious. The view from the room was amazing since we can see almost the whole city. Beside the window, there’s a cozy chair where you can just lounge around while looking at the city.

There are three Crown Regency Hotels in Cebu – (1) Crown Regency Hotel & Towers, (2) Crown Regency Suites & Residences and (3) Crown Regency Residences. We chose hotel Crown Regency Hotel & Towers because of the Sky Experience Adventure. I already tried the Edge Coaster before so I urged my brother to try it. He’s bit of a thrill seeker so he said the experience was just so-so. He felt this way probably because he already rode a zipline over a river (and from mountain to mountain) a day before. But I tell you, when I tried it two years ago I literally cried out of fear.

The hotel’s location is so perfect for me, thanks MetroDeal. There is Starbucks at the ground floor of the hotel. When we ate dinner, we just walked a couple of minutes to get to the ever famous Zubuchon restaurant. If you are watching your diet and don’t want to eat lechon, you can also easily walk to Dimsum Break, Sunburst and other restaurants. Larsian, which is also very famous food haven, is also not so far away. Best of all, the hotel is near Shamrock Bakery and Restaurant – one of the best pasalubong shops in town. We bought all our pasalubongs here – otap, rosquillos and dried mango. And if you want to go somewhere else, it’s very easy to hail a cab.

If you’re ever going to the Queen City of the South, be sure to check out Crown Regency. Thank you Crown Regency and Metrodeal!
