Foodie Alert at Soi and Thousand Cranes

They say that love is sweeter the second time around. I think I can say the same exact thing about buying vouchers from Metrodeal

I bought Soi and Thousand Cranes vouchers some time ago. You can see my blog entries here and here. I enjoyed my experience at both restaurants so I bought the same vouchers for my mother’s homecoming.
If you have been following this blog, you already know that my mom came home from the US for my older brother’s birthday. I’ve been busy entertaining her so this is kind of a late post. This entry is actually about her arrival in the Philippines which happened last May 23.

My mom arrived here in the Philippines around 4 am (two hours earlier than her ETA). That time, we were all tired so we rested and eventually fell asleep. Surprise surprise! We slept for nearly 10 hours!  We weren’t able to eat breakfast and lunch so we just called the two restaurants to make dinner reservations

We started our food marathon at Thousand Cranes, Alabang. We ordered two hotpots and one plate of tempura. We didn’t order a lot since we didn’t want to eat too much. For some reason, we were so full after the meal! My mom didn’t only enjoy the food, she also enjoyed the magnificent view of the city from the restaurant! She was impressed by the timely service and the attentive staff as well.

After we ate at Thousand Cranes, we went to Soi located at Alabang Town Center. We originally planned to order dessert since we already ate dinner at Thousand Cranes. With the scrumptious selections, we decided to get
Fried Spring Roll, Fried Tofu in Tamarind Sauce, Padsiew, Chicken Pandan and Sticky Rice with Mango. Although we said we were too full, we still managed to finish everything!

My mom had an amazing homecoming, thanks to Metrodeal, Thousand Cranes and Soi!
